US Open

Below is a link to a picture of Sandy, Katie and Lynne at the entrance to the US Open. Lexus won't give us the photo...but they're happy to promote their brand!

As some of you know, Katie and Lynne took Sandy to the US Open last weekend. Sandy has a great love for tennis and has always wanted to go to the US Open, in particular. Katie and Lynne pre-date me in Sandy's life, which is difficult to believe, given that we just celebrated our seventeenth anniversary...while they were in NY. Besides seeing great tennis, I know that Sandy really appreciated the time spent with Lynne and Katie.

All three were spoiled, with a fantastic view from the players box. Sitting with them on Saturday night during the mens/womens 3rd round was Todd Martin, 1999 US Open finalist (vs Agassi). Sandy, Todd, and Katie are below.

Apparently, Sandy's stamina was pretty good. She was wiped out the next day, but who wouldn't be after walking around Arthur Ashe, watching tennis matches, and getting home at 2am!

The three of them enjoyed Sunday shopping around Westport, CT where Lynne lives and where Sandy and Katie stayed. The human growth factor that she has injected also causes some fatigue and discomfort, so that slowed her down a bit on Sunday, too. They stayed a second night at Lynne's, then Sandy and Katie took Amtrak back to Baltimore and DC, respectively, on Monday. I can tell you that Sandy was wiped out for a few days, but was very glad to have gone!

From left, Sandy, Katie and Lynne, below. Can you believe that no one took any pictures of tennis actually being played?
